Our Chapter

Who We Are

Tau Kappa Epsilon is not just a social fraternity, it's an experience. Chartered in 1971, TKE at UCF is one of the fastest growing organizations on campus. With over 60 active members and more than 1000 local alumni, you're always bound to be near a Teke.

In August 1978, Tau Kappa Epsilon officially joined one of its most notable alumni, Danny Thomas, in the fight against childhood cancer by raising money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Now, over 30 years later, TKE at the University of Central Florida is recommitted to this amazing cause and will strive to continue the pledge set forth by our fellow brothers. Even though Danny died in February 1991, our vision for St. Jude lives on.

Our local chapter at UCF supports the dream our brother Danny had and strives to help St. Jude. Each year, we create different philanthropy events to raise money.  We have hosted Fence Painting Competitions and even a Laser Tag Event on campus at UCF. All of our events include hundreds of students from the UCF community coming together to raise money towards disease research throughout the nation. In spring 2022, we raised over $4,000 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Additionally, we participate in many other philanthropy events as well. In 2022, we were the overall winners in KD Shakedown and placed 3rd overall in ZTA Lip Sync.  Putting together all the different philanthropy events we've participated in 2022, we have helped raise almost $12,000.

What We Offer

Scholarship, Character, Leadership, Teamwork, Service, and most of all, Brotherhood. Tekes around the world strive to live by these principles and our members at UCF are no diferent.  Our organization boasts a 3.2 overall GPA and has built leaders all over campus. You can find them in Student Government, UCF Housing, IFC, Volunteer UCF, and more!

In the 2021-2022 school year, our chapter logged over 800 hours of meaningful service. Some of our favorite places to volunteer include Give Kids the World Village, Second Harvest Food Bank, and the UCF Arboretum.

Each semester, our chapter hosts brotherhood events so that we can be reminded of our bond as brothers. Brotherhood events can be anything from paint-balling to a trip to the Keys down south.

On weeks that we don't have brotherhood events, we have socials with sororities, or grab-a-dates where you can invite the date of your choice. Some of our past socials have been at various venues in Downtown Orlando such as Saddle and Treehouse.

Whether we're tailgating in the fall or just taking a beach trip in the spring, we always have something planned to keep busy.
